Charlene McKenzie is the absolute driving force behind Tixsa. Charlene has been in the entertainment industry since the early 90’s. Charlene spent 16 years running her own highly regarded music venue in Pretoria before joining Tixsa, building a great reputation with producers, promoters, artists and clients. What Charlene loves most about using Tixsa is the reliable, user friendly online system and software, and the way Tixsa deals with their clients. She especially loved the ability to manage her own loading of events and building a database where she “owned her audience”. Her focus at Tixsa is helping clients with events; from planning, marketing, ticketing to execution. She always strives to exceed customer expectations. What Charlene loves most about her job is becoming a part of her clients events and becoming a little “working family”. When she is not busy being our Tixsa-superwoman, you might just find her painting or somewhere relaxing with her nose buried in a a book. She is also a bit of a mountain biking junkie. Charlene personally loves attending anything arty and creative: from the ballet and opera, to alternative poetry readings and live music. She has a soft spot for Blues, Jazz and Rock ‘n Roll. With Charlene’s incredible gift to conquer any problem create synergy among the people surrounding her, it’s no wonder her favorite quote is one from Rod McKuen:
“Be aware then that tomorrow is only tomorrow. There is nothing to fear except the coming of another day. But two against a winter morning are sure to claim one more victory over chance and trouble.”
Alanka is Tixsa’s Miss Congeniality. Her warmth and creative spirit is what the team and our clients love most about her. Alanka worked as an arts administrator and project manager at the NWU PUK Arts Department for about 5 years. There she rolled out the Tixsa system in their business operations and event management and found the Tixsa system so splendid that she joined the team permanently and moved to Gauteng in 2016. Alanka has a passion for exploring new business opportunities and ensuring that our wide range of clients’ needs is met. The fact that no day is the same in the Tixsa world and the variety in events is what excites Alanka about her job. She loves enveloping herself in the different fields our clients operate in: whether it be sporting, gaming, making music or hunting – she loves hearing everyone’s story behind their passion. When Alanka is not pouring her heart out in creating a great customer experience for Tixsa world, you’ll most likely find her writing some poetry, indulging in the theatre or enjoying live music somewhere. She also loves cooking and believe it or not – she is quite the farm girl and loves spending time outdoors on hwe family’s farm in KZN. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, her passion for business and the arts, together with her unique background in arts administration, makes for a great addition to the Tixsa team.

Divan has been part of the Tixsa family since it was founded. He started out on ground level assisting with access management at events. His hearty enthusiasm and focus on creating a pleasant customer experience soon made him an indispensable asset to Tixsa. Today he has geared himself with a wide range of skills and he is pretty much the backbone of Tixsa’s IT Department and our secret ingredient when it comes to ensuring smooth running of all operational aspects of access management at events. Divan’s favorite part of his job is engaging directly with clients on site at events. He gets a great kick out of clients who walk away with a smile and compliments that they’ve experienced one of the fastest moving queues at events. When Divan is not ensuring happy smiles at events or engineering IT solutions for Tixsa, you’ll probably find him gaming, cooking or exploring new landscapes on a mountain bike. Events Divan likes to attend personally include The Color Run SA, the ICON Comics and Games convention and the RAGE EXPO.

Efficiency & kindness is the name of the game when it comes to Miss Harbour – and that’s exactly why Team Tixsa and our clients love working with her. Kendall joined the Tixsa family in 2016 after using the system for an event she managed. After a pleasant working experience, both Tixsa and Kendall were pretty much smitten. She joined the team and both parties haven’t looked back ever since.
What Kendall loves most about her working environment is that not one work day is the same. She loves seeing all the creative new events popping up and working with new individuals and clients in the world of entertainment and events. She recons one of the coolest experiences she’s had with Tixsa, is to see happy and satisfied faces of clients when ticket scanning is done quickly , friendly and effectively. This young lady has many other talents that make her an irresistible human being. One of these talents includes her soothing alto voice which she struts singing in the renowned Akustika Chamber Choir, an elite performance choir called The Vox Collective and she is also a part of the Bye Felicia band. Kendall enjoys attending all music related and outdoor events. Oh, and did we mention that she is a social media guru? When asked the words Kendall Harbour lives by, she smilingly says:
“Be kind to one another.”
Paul Du Plessis is Tixsa’s “care bear” (though he might humbly deny this statement as this might ruin is “street cred”). There is certainly no length Paul and his calm and caring demeanor won’t go to, to ensure our ticket buyers are cared for. Paul’s journey with Tixsa started out by assisting with access management and manning our support desk part-time. Today we are proud to share that Paul has joined as a permanent team member where he ensures that our support desk runs smoothly. When asked about what Paul loves most about his job – here’s what he had to say: “My favorite part of working for Tixsa is working at events and seeing how people are impressed about how fast our system runs and how splendid our teamwork is. “Paul is also a bit of an IT fundi and loves working on computers – especially the hardware – in his spare time. He is a passionate computer gamer and believe it or not – he is a great car enthusiast. He loves building up old cars or following all the hottest trends in the motoring world. Taking all the above into consideration – it’s no wonder Paul loves attending computer gaming, technology and various motoring industry events.
Paul’s favorite saying: “If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal.”
